The company
Established in 2000, Scallops Peru is a scallop farm located in the bay of Guaynuna, in Casma/Peru, covering an area of 259 acres (105 hectares). The region has ideal conditions for farming this specy, with an excellent climate and a natural concentration of nutrients for shellfish (plankton).
The scallops are processed and frozen in Acuapesca's production plant.
Business
The entire farming process encompasses every stage in growth from spawning to harvest. We use the suspended culture method, the same technique used for scallop farming in countries such as Japan and Chile, with state-of-the-art technology.
